Mercedes Benz Stadium

Mercedes Benz Stadium

Super Bowl LIII (53) will be played at the new Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the first time the Super Bowl will be hosted in the stadium, but it will be the third time that Atlanta will host the biggest game of the year. Atlanta beat out other finalists including Miami, Tampa and New Orleans to win the award from NFL owners.

The Mercedes Benz Stadium opened in August 2017 and is home to the Atlanta Falcons NFL Football Team and the Atlanta United MLS Soccer Team. The stadium cost approximately $1.6 billion to complete.

The stadium is owned by the State of Georgia through the Georgia World Congress Center Authority. It is operated by the AMB owned by Arthur Blank, which is the parent organization of the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta United. The stadium is one of five stadiums in the NFL to have a retractable roof.
